If you can still sign in but cannot download, update or buy apps, the store services on the account have usually been disabled.

Common message
The Apple Account can still sign in, but App Store, iTunes Store or Media & Purchases access has been disabled, so apps cannot be downloaded, updated or purchased. The message usually reads:
Your account has been disabled in the App Store and iTunes. If the account itself cannot sign in or is locked, it is an account lock and needs a different process.
How Apple handles it
If the alert offers Continue, follow it to request reactivation, or contact Apple Support. Apple may restore access, ask you to wait for a review or confirm that access cannot be restored.
Handle it in AppleHelper
Prepare the account
Import the Apple ID and check the name, phone number and billing address an advisor may verify.
Create the task
In Chat tasks, choose Restore App Store Access and the account, review the price, then create the task.
AI talks to support
AI explains that store services are disabled and answers verification questions. It can retrieve a Support PIN when your settings allow it.
Review the outcome
Read the advisor's conclusion and the full conversation in the task.
If the advisor asks you to wait for a review, the task records this. Avoid submitting the same request again while you wait.
Possible outcomes
- Restored
- The advisor confirms that store services are enabled again.
- Under review
- The advisor asks you to wait before trying again.
- Cannot be restored
- The advisor confirms that store access cannot be restored.
Apple decides the outcome, and AppleHelper cannot guarantee that store access will be restored. Charges follow the rules shown on the Task pricing page.
